Why You Should Consider Ditching Your Tent for a Hammock
Everyone knows that hammocks are comfortable, but have you ever considered ditching your tent for a hammock when it comes to sleeping?
Giving up the tent, which has always been a staple of camping, may seem like too much to ask, but consider the following:
You’ll sleep better on a hammock — much better! Ground is hard and sleeping bags are small. You’ll have so much more room on a hammock, and no rough ground to contend with or rocks in your back that you didn’t see when you set up your tent. No stuffy air, or claustrophobic feeling because you’ll be outdoors, in the air, breathing fresh air.
A hammock is much easier to set up than a tent, takes much less space, and is lighter to carry. Enough said.
Finally, if you’re concerned about privacy for changing clothes, if you set up your tarp around your hammock, you not only have privacy, but you also have the ability to stand up easily and change comfortably, rather than squatting and bending within the confines of a tent.
Try it — I promise you won’t be sorry, and you’ll never head for the hills without a hammock again!
